Marking up Files

Markups are stored as individual files against the image that is marked up within a document. Each image file can have multiple markups created by different people. When you start to mark up you can choose to load an existing markup file or create a new one. When you are finished with the markup file you must assign it a unique name.

To create markups, you must have the following AssetWise permissions:
  • New Object Instances > Document Copy
  • System Information > Create & Manage Annotations
  • System Information > 'Grade B' Security

To modify an existing markup (for example, to add annotations), you must have both Modify and Delete rights on the markup file itself. The person who created the markup has all View, Modify, and Delete permissions on it.

In order to View markups you simply require a Users role. With this role, you can view any markup. This means, that markups created by any Person will be available to view to all other persons automatically, with the Users role.
